Psychoanalytical/Psychological in “The Great Gatsby”

In “The Great Gastby” the author has a lot to do in the story because he connects really well to the main character Nick Caraway because they both had the ability to understand and analyze the current times and ”The Great Gatsby” was an analysis of social class and prosperity during the Roaring Twenties. Nick Caraway is the main character and he is very intelligent and a loyal companion. He is a very outgoing person but he is a person that tells you how things are and is always own the middle of things. In the book he says how he is and here is one example “I am one of the few honest people that I have ever know ”(fitzgerald 121).He himself know that he is very honest to people and is always in everybody’s business.

“No Name Woman”Feminist Analysis

The title is important because within the story she tells what the title means “No Name Woman”. She tells us the story of her aunt which she didn’t know the name of because nobody spoke of her because she had killed herself after she had a baby. The title means that she didn’t know the name of her aunt because her father never told her about it. The title also tells us the difference that is shown in the book between Chinese and Chinese American women society which is very different. In the excerpt from “The Woman Warrior” it says that “Chinese I know hide their names;sojourners take new names when their lives change and guard their real names with silence”(kingston,6).This says that all women tend to hide their identity and no tell who they really are.
